Harwich to Rotterdam

Rain, rain, rain, drizzle...finally it stopped....Got to Harwich at about 7.30pm, I was almost dry and ready for boarding. The ferry doesn't leave until 11.00pm and how long does it take to check a passport? The caravan in front finally moves forward and I'm through in two! Woohoo! Another couple of hours and the bored boarder boards! I had a long ride the next day so made sure to get a cabin for a good night's rest. I'm lugging a ton of gear and could only bring up a few bits for the night. I was woefully overweight and lacking in packing skills, I only partially managed my simple bare neccesseties for the night, but manage I eventually did and a good sleep was had! I didn't see the sea until disembarkation and I didn't even see much of it then either!

Lesson 1: Pack efficiently and with forethought!

Cabin
Small and perfectly formed but...
Cabin
...one night was probably enough, luckily I didn't bring a cat!
Best view of the sea I got in Rotterdam!
